Burak Savaş is an accomplished Turkish vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and educator specialized in traditional Ottoman-Turkish classical music and global fusion. Known for his deeply expressive and soulful voice, he is equally skilled as a performer on the Turkish violin, tanbur, and lavta.

Savaş initiated his formal academic musical training in 2013 at the Ege University State Conservatory of Turkish Music, building a robust foundation in traditional vocal techniques and theoretical systems. He later moved to the Netherlands to complete his master’s degree at the Codarts Rotterdam Conservatory, focusing extensively on the intricacies of the Turkish violin style.

As a dynamic global performer, Savaş has collaborated with elite cultural ensembles including the Kudsi Erguner Ensemble, the Venice-based Birun Ensemble, and the Lamekan Ensemble. He acts as a crucial bridge between Eastern and Western musical traditions, notably fronting cross-cultural projects like the global fusion group Afro Anatolian Tales and the Mediterraneo Band. His international touring history spans stages across Belgium, France, Singapore, India, and the United Arab Emirates.

Beyond performing, Savaş actively preserves and transmits his heritage. He serves as a faculty member at Codarts University for the Arts, where he teaches Turkish singing, music theory, and violin style. He also serves as the conductor for the Rotterdam Classical Turkish Music Choir (Rotterdam Klassik Türk Musiqisi Xoru), leading international cultural initiatives.
