Benjamin Stueck

Born in Osnabrück in 1979, early interest in traditional Turkish music, learning the Turkish-Anatolian string instrument saz (also called Baglama); Studied Turkish music at the Rotterdam Conservatory and private studies with the ethnomusicologist and saz virtuoso Talip Özkan in Paris; national and international concert activities with the bands Pinhan Trio, Talipler and the Mihenk Ensemble; 2018 release of his first music album Hidden songs of Anatolia; since 2008 teaching activities in his adopted home of Hamburg, among others in the School for Anatolian Music. Since 2008 he has been teaching in his adopted home city of Hamburg, including at the School for Anatolian Music, as part of a project of the Youth Music School, and since 2015 at the academy hamburg für musik und kultur.
