Ross Daly & Periklis Papapetropoulos / Asimina Karamperopoulou
Ross Daly and Periklis Papapetropoulos share a deep musical collaboration spanning over 40 years, rooted in their work at the Labyrinth Musical Workshop in Crete. Periklis Papapetropoulos began studying with Ross Daly at the age of sixteen and has since become a cornerstone member of the Labyrinth ensemble. Their concerts typically feature Contemporary Modal Music, blending traditions from the Eastern Mediterranean, Middle East, and Central Asia. For this unique concert, Ross Daly will perform his compositions on the Cretan lyra and the tarhu, while Periklis Papapetropoulos will play the lavta.
The first part of this concert will be performed by Greek singer Asimina Karamperopoulou, accompanied by Periklis Papapetropoulos. Togther they will present a musical journey with songs from Asia Minor.
