Description
Ahenk’s musical foundation is rooted in the tradition of instrumental compositions (saz eserleri) within classical Turkish music. This legacy, which began notably with Tanburi Cemil Bey and brought solo performance to the forefront, was developed by great masters such as Mesut Cemil, Ruşen Kam, Ercüment Batanay, Niyazi Sayın, Necdet Yaşar, and İhsan Özgen.
By following in the footsteps of these masters, we have striven to bring the century-old harmony of the kemençe and tanbur into the present day. This journey, which has continued since the 1990s, has forged not only a shared musical language but a lifelong friendship, and “Ahenk” has become the name for this bond.
