Eugénie De Mey
Belgium-born Eugénie De Mey is a versatile mezzo-soprano renowned for her expertise in early, medieval, and contemporary music. Trained at prestigious institutions in Lyon, Geneva, and Notre-Dame de Paris, she is celebrated for her unique vocal range, seamlessly blending chest voice in lower registers with crystalline, lyrical high notes.
De Mey is a prominent figure in the European ensemble scene, collaborating with acclaimed groups such as La Tempête, De Caelis, and Graindelavoix. Her work often bridges diverse musical traditions; her duo project, MNÉMØSYNE, explores the alchemy of medieval and modern sounds. In 2026, she is set to release Illuminans Tenebras with the label Ramée, a project connecting 12th-century monody with Eastern classical music. Beyond performing, she serves as a musical advisor for choreographers like Anne-Teresa De Keersmaeker and leads vocal pedagogy workshops.
