In recent years, Bauweraerts has expanded his sonic boundaries under the moniker H.A.R.A.L.D, blending the traditional drone of the electro-acoustic hurdy-gurdy with electronic 909 drums and vocal effects to create immersive dance music. His latest project, the collective Toasaves, received the 2024 Flanders Folk Award for “Best Album” with their debut release Zwerver. Continuing to tour internationally, Bauweraerts remains at the forefront of the contemporary folk evolution, bridging the gap between ancient traditions and modern club culture.
