Khaled Al Hafez
Khaled Alhafed (born 1981 in Aleppo, Syria) is a prominent Syrian classical Arabic singer and educator, specialized in traditional Muwashahat singing. He studied under Fadel Sarraj and later at the Aleppo Conservatory. Due to the Syrian conflict, Alhafed immigrated to Belgium in 2013, establishing a strong presence in the European music scene.

His career includes forming ensembles such as the Wajd Ensemble—with whom he recorded ‘Musique d’Alep’—and collaborating with the “Refugees for Refugees” project. Known for his profound voice, he has held numerous concerts across Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Italy) and held workshops, including for the Labyrinth Catalunya musical workshop. Currently, Alhafed is recognized as a key proponent of classical Middle Eastern music in Europe, combining live performance with vocal education. His work often explores Sufi and traditional oriental music genres.
