Description
Drawing inspiration from deeply personal experiences, as well as the influence of family, friends, and his travels across Europe and especially Turkey, Ilias Markantonis in introducing his first explorations in composing original music. The album “Solo Outi” is the culmination of a long artistic journey, exploring the rich and colorful palette of sounds the oud has revealed over the past half-century. As a solo instrument, the oud presents a profound challenge: it has the power to express the many emotions carried within the inner soul of every individual.
